Berlin strongly opposes Ukraine’s participation in new NATO drills Anaconda’16. General of Polish Armed Forces Marek Tomaszicky said this in an interview with Polish Radio.

Tomaszicky also admitted that Germany is extremely persistent about Ukraine’s non-involvement in Anaconda’16. The official added that his country’s Ministry of National Defense holds on to the opinion that Ukraine’s participation is of special importance to Poland.

The Polish General added that the German government imposed restrictions on use of motor roads all over the country, and declined the request of Poland-based U.S. troops to cross the Polish-German border.
