Ganapolsky receives Ukrainian citizenship

Ukraine-born journalist, TV and radio host, actor and director is widely known for criticizing the Kremlin

Russian reporter of Ukrainian origin Matvey Ganapolsky received Ukrainian citizenship. Head of Ukraine’s presidential administration Borys Lozhkin reported this at Facebook. ‘We had a conversation at the end of the work day. I congratulated him on receiving Ukrainian citizenship. We exchanged views on ways of development of the Ukrainian media’, the official wrote.

Matvey Ganapolsky, born in Lviv, western Ukraine, is a famous Russian journalist, actor, stage director; since 1991, he has been working for opposition media in Russia, Georgia and Ukraine, such as ‘Echo of Moscow’, ATR, NewsOne and many others. He has been long time criticizing the Kremlin’s policy, especially the foreign policy.
