French presidential candidate, former Economy Minister Emmanuel Macron said that if he wins the election, he will force President Vladimir Putin to respect him, since he owes nothing to Russia. He said this in an interview with Jeune Afrique.

According to him, at the moment there is no reason to submit to any Russian domination, to be intimidated or to allow Russia to act in violation of the norms of international law.

Macron said that he could ensure that Putin will respect him, since he "does not owe Russia anything."

Also, the presidential candidate expressed readiness for a dialogue with a demand to resolve the crises in which Russia is involved - it is about Syria and the East of Ukraine. Macron intends to defend the principles of his country - without hostility, however uncompromisingly.
