French Defense Ministry intends to strengthen protection against cyber attacks. This was stated by Defense Minister of France Jean-Yves Le Drian in the interview to the French media, Reuters reported.

The minister said that France is no less vulnerable to cyber attacks from foreign countries than the United States. Le Drian stressed that there is a real danger of cyber attacks on the facilities of the French civilian infrastructure and against the French democracy and mass media.

Answering the question whether France has immunity from such attacks, Le Drian said:

"No, of course not, we should not be naive."

As it was reported earlier, the President of the United Stated commented on the decision on the deportation of the Russian diplomats from the country and new sanctions against Russia and called these actions “a necessary and appropriate response”.
