Isabelle Dumont, the French ambassador to Ukraine, expressed the support of her government to Ukraine in the ongoing conflict with Russia. According to her, Paris is ready to continue the anti-Russian sanctions. She said so in the interview to Interfax-Ukraine news agency.

‘France is the bearer of important values, specifically, in the part of respect for international law. Considering that, the French are ready to pay more efforts and even go for a sacrifice, like they did before… Of course, the European sanctions introduced against Russia have a negative impact on the French economy – specifically, due to the retaliatory sanctions imposed by Moscow; above all, the ones in the agricultural area. This area of the French economy currently goes through tough times. In this case, French farmers suffer the most. Nevertheless, France is ready to extend the sanctions so as to demonstrate our decisiveness in supporting Ukraine,’ Dumont said.
