Four NATO vessels enter port of Odesa

Ukrainian Navy officers will hold negotiations and joint drills with their counterparts in the Alliance

Naval vessels of NATO member countries arrived in the port of Odesa, southern Ukraine. They are a part of NATO’s SNMCMG No.2 (the abbreviation stands for 'Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group', -112 International). The press service of the Ukrainian Navy reported that on Friday, March 17.

Crews of ORP KX Czernicki (Poland), ESPS Duero (Spain), FGS Rottweil (Germany) and TCG Alanya (Turkey) will meet with their Ukrainian counterparts for discussions and joint drills in the waters of the Black Sea.

The Ukrainian servicemen and their NATO colleagues will also hold a friendly sport contest.  Besides, the local civilians and guests of the city will be allowed to visit the vessels on March 18, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The visit of NATO delegation is scheduled until April 20.
