‘I’m proud of my career in the national team. Once I was a boy from a little neighborhood in Malmö, and then I achieved this – I represented my country and became the captain of the national team. I’m proud of what I achieved. I’ll cherish many sweet memories about my time in Sweden’s national team’, the forward said.

During his long-span career, the 34-year-old veteran played for a number of great European teams, such as Ajax, Juventus, Internazionale, Milan and Barcelona. Ibrahimovic left his previous team, Paris Saint-Germain, in summer this year, after the football season was over.  It was expected that he’d sign a contract with Manchester United, but the signature has been stalled due to discussions on some provisions of the document.
