McFaul accused Putin of interfering in the presidential elections in the US

Former US Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul said that he was denied entry to Russia. He wrote about this on his page on Twitter.

"I am on the Kremlin's sanction lists and cannot travel to Russia", reads the message.


McFaul said that the Kremlin included him in the sanctions list for his close affiliation to surrounding of President Barack Obama.


He also noted that the last entry was forbidden to US Ambassador to the Soviet Union, George Kennan, who held this position in 1952.


Note that Michael McFaul accused the Russian leader Vladimir Putin of intervening in the presidential elections in the United States on November 9.

In addition, in the summer of this year in an interview with the Estonian newspaper Postimees McFaul said that the US must rein in Russia and to respond to its action.

He also said that said that the Russian Federation is doing everything to make the economy of Ukraine decline as soon as possible.
