The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine analyzes the mechanism for introducing the visa regime with Russia. The Head of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said this on the TV Program Snіdanok on 1 + 1.

"First of all, the government needs to control who comes from Russia to Ukraine. Let’s be honest. We are at war with Russia today, war, both classic and hybrid. At the same time we have a few million of our fellow citizens in Russia. Russians knows what to do in case of introduction a visa regime", Klimkin said.

The topic of visas was raised in mid-August, when the relationship between the two countries deteriorated due to the alleged detention of the so called Ukrainian saboteurs in the occupied Crimea. Klimkin said then that if necessary, the visa regime for Russian citizens will be introduced, but there are some details to be considered.
