EU will monitor impact of official Donbas blockade on civilian population

According to the EU, the decision contradicts inclusive approach toward the population

European Union will monitor the effects of the decision by National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) regarding cargo transportation ban through delimitation line on the civilian population. This was reported by Maja Kocijancic, the EEAS spokesperson, in a commentary to Ukrinform.

"We will carefully monitor the impact of this decision on civil population," she announced.

EU also stressed that the advocate for inclusive approach to Ukrainian citizens, living in uncontrolled territories, in terms of sustained support for Ukraine.

She also emphasized that recent decree of Russian president to recognize the "DPR/LPR" passports contradicts Minsk agreement. 

"EU is firmly supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity," spokeswoman noted.
