This was announced by the President of European Council Donald Tusk during the joint press conference of EU-Ukraine summit

EU calls for to immediately release Ukrainian citizens illegally detained in Crimea and Russia. This was announced by European Council President Donald Tusk during XIX EU-Ukraine summit on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"I want to congratulate Oleh Sentsov, film director, who was arrested in the Crimea and sentenced. As Petro Poroshenko noted, today is Sentsov's birthday and I call for the immediate release of all illegally detained are in Russia and on the Crimean peninsula Ukrainians," Tusk said.

As it was reported earlier European Commission President Juncker arrived in Ukraine. Junker during met President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
