Ukraine will not cancel military drills

Ukrainian Defense Ministry has commented on the threat of Russian missile strikes in the event of Ukraine's military exercises near the occupied Crimea. The exercises will not be canceled, the Speaker Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing that was broadcast by 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

"Ukraine is a sovereign constitutional state. Everything that is planned is going to be carried out. As for some threats, they cannot prevent the plans that the Defense Ministry and the designers of military weapons will carry out on the territory of a sovereign Ukraine", said Lysenko.

The Speaker also said that Ukraine fulfills all the norms of international treaties.

"We have a national territory of Ukraine, in which we will conduct all the test launches, as well as drills and no one will tell us what to do on our territory", Lysenko stressed.
