Court returns ex-Internal Minister's land to state

The land plot of nearly 1 ha belonged to wife of the ex-Internal Minister

The Prosecutor’s office of Kyiv region announced about returning of the land plot of nearly 1 ha that belonged to family of the former Internal Minister of Ukraine Vitaliy Zakharchenko to the state.

This was reported by the press service.

The executive committee of Pidhirtsevska village council has allocated the land with total area of 0.861 hectares, located in one array.

Given the identified violations, the Prosecutor’s Office appealed to the court on and cancellation of decision and recognition as illegal state acts on the land ownership. This case was considered by the courts of different instances, the press-service stressed.

As a result, Kyiv region Court decided to satisfy prosecution's claims and cancel the decision to grant the disputed land to private ownership of former Interior Minister’s wife. The land plots were transferred from illicit ownership to the state, the Prosecutor's Office explained.

Earlier it was reported that it is planned to lease land in Chernobyl zone for the solar power plants construction. The contest has already been announced by the Ministry.
