Candidate for the US president's post from the Democrats, Hillary Clinton revealed the cause of her defeat in the elections - she stated about attacks on the servers of Democratic Party and the entire democratic bloc organized by Russia and directly by the President Vladimir Putin's.

According to Clinton, it could be Putin's personal revenge for the fact that in 2011, she publicly stated that the results of parliamentary elections in Russia were falsified.

This Clinton said in an interview with The New York Times.

"This is not just an attack on me, it's an attack on the whole our country, we are here far beyond the scope of the normal politics. And the main issue is the existence of our democracy and the security of our country.", said Hillary Clinton.

Another reason for the defeat in the elections Clinton called the resumption of the FBI investigation in connection with allegations of her using home server for official correspondence during the tenure as Secretary of State. Despite the fact that FBI released a letter in which eventually withdrew the accusations, it affected opinion of some voters.
