He also noted that as far as Canada will preside over G7 it is very important to bring up the issue of Ukraine on such level.

Chrystia Freeland emphasized that Canada and G7 understand that invasion of Ukraine and annexation of the Ukrainian territory is the issue of the rule of law. ‘I was very glad to hear this from all ministers during the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of G7 countries’.

‘It is a gross breach of the European borders. Canada and our partners from G7 understand that it is very dangerous for the world. We cannot come to terms with it. Canada supports the basis of the international order and takes Ukrainian side’, Freeland claimed.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk also expressed gratitude to Canada’s participation in the program of the modernization and training of the Ukrainian Army. ‘I am sure that this project will be lengthened’, he noted.
