British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson offered to Russia to put an end to the crisis in Syria, saying that "they still have time to be on the right side of the conflict," The Telegraph reports.

The diplomat also warned that the United States could again conduct an armed strike in  Syria.

Johnson said that Assad uses chemical weapons because it is terrifying. "In this sense, he himself is a sworn terrorist who caused such an unquenchable thirst for revenge that he can never hope to reign over his population again," Johnson said.

"It is literally and metaphorically toxic, and it's time for Russia to wake up from this fact, they still have time to be on the right side of the dispute," the diplomat said.
