The Russian aggression can only be defeated by keeping sanctions and acting within the united global position. Arsen Avakov, Ukraine’s Interior Minister said this as quoted by Yomiuri Simbun outlet during his visit to Japan.
‘The consolidation position of the entire civilized world, directed against the aggressor, which foresees clear requirements and tough sanctions… This is the only possible approach that would give the result: peace and return of the Ukrainian territories, peace in Syria and the Japanese control over certain part of Kuril Islands,’ Avakov said.
He added that Japan and the G7 members should keep the anti-Rusasian sanctions, given the occupation of Crimea and military actions in Donbas and the ongoing Russian aggression. ‘You cannot appease the aggressor’, he stressed.
The Ukrainian minister has been on the official visit to Japan since October 24. During the visit, Arsen Avakov met Deputy Foreign Minister Nobuo Kishi and leader of the State Commission for Civil Security Juno Matsumoto.
