Automaidan activists block pro-Russia protesters in hotel in Odesa

Pro-Kremlin Polish activists came to southern-Ukrainian city to join flower-laying ceremony organized by oppositional Ukrainian MP

Members of NGO Automaidan blocked Polish delegates in a hotel in Odesa. The Poles were about to join the solemn ceremonies at Kulykove field, where the May 2 tragedy took place in 2014 (Dumskaya).

The outlet wrote that Poles came to Odesa on an invitation of Mykola Skoryk, member of the ‘Opposition bloc’, the pro-Russian political party in Ukraine. The Automaidan movement, which emerged during the Euromaidan revolution in Ukraine in late 2013 and since then has opposed pro-Russian forces in Ukraine, called the flower-laying ceremony ‘a top cynicism’.

According to NGO Oberig, the Polish delegation includes Jan Rulewski, the leader of Solidarnosc movement, and Janusz Niedzwiedzki, coordinator for the international NGO ‘Political Initiative’. ‘Niedzwiedzki belongs to the Zmiana party, whose leader worked as observer at the so-called referendum in Crimea in March 2014. The politician supports the annexation of Crimea by Russia and repeats Kremlin’s statements regarding Ukraine’, the NGO said.
