The US channel Fox News presenter Megyn Kelly reported that the president-elect Donald Trump tried unsuccessfully to give her gifts, including a free stay at one of his hotels, as part of what she called his pattern of trying to influence news coverage of his presidential campaign. This is referred to in the book of the journalist, who is about to leave, the Associated Press reports.

It is noted that the publication has Kelly’s book at it’s disposal. The book reveals the criticism and threats, which were directed to a journalist in response to the way she conducted the air.

She notes that some journalists received gifts from Trump, and they sometimes spoke critically about him to look objective. Kelly also said Trump routinely attempted to gain favorable treatment from other journalists and commentators. However, Fox News journalist does not mention any particular names.
