Maria Gaidar, who currently works as a vice-governor of Odesa region in Ukraine, got Ukrainian citizenship, as well as former Editor-in-Chief at Forbes-Ukraine Vladimir Fedorin.
“Maximum you can do for Russia today is to ensure the success of Ukraine,” stated President Poroshenko during the ceremony of granting the Ukrainian citizenship to Russian politician and civil activist Maria Gaidar and former Forbes editor Vladimir Fedorin.
From 2009 till 2011 Gaidar was a deputy governor in Kirov region in Russia. In 2012 she became an adviser to Moscow Vice-Major for Social Problems. In July 2015 Gaidar accepted an offer from Mikheil Saakashvili and became a vice-governor of Odesa Region in Ukraine.
