Since the beginning of the year, 28 units of Ukraine’s Armed Forces have been trained under NATO standards; foreign instructors from several NATO member countries participated. The defense ministry’s press service reported that on Thursday.
’28 full-fledged combat units of the Armed Forces completed training programs under supervision of British, Canadian, U.S., Lithuanian and Polish instructors. 297 Ukrainian instructors completed training under the Alliance’s standards; since the military reform began, about 1,200 NATO-grade Ukrainian instructors completed the program,’ the message says.
Twenty joint exercises with NATO instructors have taken place at Ukrainian training grounds since early 2017. Besides, 22 dynamic simulators for crews of tanks, IFVs and APCs were deployed in Ukraine’s military schools.
Since the military reform began, the Defense Ministry has approved 20 standards of the Alliance regarding the military uniforms and individual protection means.
