German law enforcers detained 14 citizens of the Russian Federation, which happened during a counter-terrorism operation in Jena, Germany, on October 25. AP reported this on Tuesday.

All of the detained are Chechen nationals; one of them, the 28-year-old man, planned to join the ISIS in Syria. The rest of the detainees, 10 men and three women, were charged with funding terrorism.

The German police and special services declared an increased level of terrorist threat, after the ISIS took the responsibility for two attacks in July this year.
