Ukraine to investigate sulfuric acid, oleum import

According to the analysis, the prices were lower than they should have been

The interagency commission for international trade of Ukraine is to investigate the import of sulfuric acid and oleum, as Interfax-Ukraine informs.

"The materials submitted contain enough evidence, based on which one may conclude that in 2014-2016, irrespective of the origin, the import of sulphuric acid and oleum to Ukraine was in such amounts and on such conditions that could cause large damage to the national manufacturer," the commission said.

It’s added that the prices of the claimants were lower than the cost of production.

As a result, the sales of the domestic manufacturer Skhidny Mining fell by 5% in 2016, and by 8% in 2016, while their production declined by 5% and 6% respectively.
