Ukraine rose from 7th to 1st place in business corruption rating within 2 years. This was stated in the data of the international research conducted and published by Ernst&Young.
Research covers 41 countries (Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA).
According to the results, 51% of all respondents still believe that corruption is widespread in business in their country, 77% of board members or senior executives say they can justify unethical behavior to help businesses survive.
Ukraine tops the rating. 88% of respondents confirmed they are facing corruption in business. At the same time, two years ago, a similar research showed 80%.
Cyprus, Greece, Slovakia and Croatia are following Ukraine in business corruption rating. And Finland, Norway and Denmark are at the end of the list.
Earlier it was reported that Poroshenko is not happy with anti-corruption results. Despite the creation of independent anti-corruption infrastructure, President is not satisfied with the results of anti-corruption policy.
