Ukraine’s state security service, the SBU, found out that pro-Kremlin militants received social payments from the state budget. The SBU’s press service reported that over 800 Ukrainian citizens received their salaries as the residents of Stantsyia Luhanska district in Luhansk region, while actually residing in the occupied territories of the region.

The regional administration already took measures to stop paying salaries to the mentioned people; thus, the officials managed to save almost USD 150,000 of the state budget’s funds.
