Ministry of Finance predicts GDP growth slow down due to Donbas blockade

The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine predicts GDP growth slow down due to Donbas trade blockade. This was reported by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

“It was a blow on energy, metallurgy, and budget and there are additional risks for national currency.  We will find a way but we’ll have to spend some time and money. I don’t want to and it will not look optimistic, but the Finance Ministry predicts not only budget losses, but the slowing down of GDP growth due to the rupture of technological chains due to the blockade,” he said.

Earlier Poroshenko signed the budget for 2017. President reminded that the government, breaking the tradition, submitted state budget to the Verkhovna Rada in time.
