The First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) David Lipton intends to pay an official visit to Kyiv on September 12-14. The press service of the IMF claimed this as Interfax-Ukraine reported.

Moreover, the IMF confirmed that the IMF Mission will arrive in Ukraine in September within the fourth revision of the EFF (Extended Fund Facility) program and noted that the working period of the mission in Kyiv is not approved yet.

The loan program in the sum of 17.01 billion of dollars for Ukraine was approved by IMF in the end of April 2014 and the first tranche of the stand by loan in the sum of 3.19 billion of dollars was provided in May.

The Board of Governors of the IMF approved the allocation of 17.5 billion of dollars to Ukraine on four-years EFF program instead of stand by program.

Stand by program was replaced by the EFF due to the longer need of the balance of payments of Ukraine

Ukraine received the first tranche in the sum of 5 billion of dollars in March 2015, the second tranche in the sum of 1.7 billion of dollars was provided in August 2105, the third one in the sum of one billion of dollars in 2016 and the fourth in the sum of one billion of dollars in April 2017. Our country expects to get two tranches from the IMF until the end of this year.
