Ukraine’s ministry for housing and regional development approved 16 projects that are to be implemented in the southeastern Dnipropetrovsk region. The EIB, the European Investment Bank is going to provide the funds, approximately 11.7 million dollars in total.

According to Interfax-Ukraine news agency, the extraordinary credit program was developed to cover the needs of local infrastructure and internally displaced persons in five regions across Ukraine.

The EIB also approved funding of repair works at several infrastructure objects, such as the school complex in Pavlograd and the department of surgery of Illya Mechnykov’s hospital in Dnipro city. Currently, it’s up to the Ukrainian Cabinet to approve the list of the projects to be funded. The local authorities assume that the initiatives can be implemented already this autumn.
