The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine extended the sanctions on imports from Russia until the end of 2017. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting today, on December 21.

The cancel of the free trade was introduced from January 2, 2016.

From 1 January 2016 the list of acts of Ukrainian products, the importation of which unilaterally levied duties of the Common Customs Tariff rates EAEC. Also the Russian Federation suspended the free trade zone of the Treaty within the framework of the CIS with regard to Ukraine.

"The decision on the extension of the import duties for Russian goods is a part of a comprehensive response to the Russian economic aggression against Ukraine. Furthermore, Ukraine continues to demand the abolition of unlawful restrictive measures in the framework of the World Trade Organization", noted in the Ministry of Economic Development.

Action decree ends on December 31, 2016.
