EBU: Hosting Eurovision 2017 to cost Ukraine EUR 15 mln

Head of Ukraine’s National TV company says the estimate is yet to be finalized

European Broadcasting Union (EBU) assessed the total price of hosting Eurovision 2017 in Ukraine in the amount of 15 million Euros. Zurab Alasania, Head of Ukraine’s National TV company, said this at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday (inforesist.org). “The EBU that owns this contest sent the hosting country financial guarantees for the event. The money are supposed to cover expenses on preparation and hosting of the contest”, the official said.

He added that EBU agreed to fund the contest partially.
