The U.S. delegation led by U.S. Army Gen. Mark A. Milley came to Ukraine with an official visit, as states the press office of the Ministry of Defense.
The parties analyzed current security challenges and outlined the prospects and efficient forms of military cooperation. They also discussed the possible American aid considering the current situation in the east of Ukraine. Ukrainian representatives highlighted that Ukraine strictly observes the Minsk agreements achieved during the Prague EU Leaders Summit.
As was reported before, October 23, the U.S. delivered to Ukraine the first series of translational supply equipment to improve the technical capabilities of Ukraine to broadcast its eastern regions. Also until the end of the autumn, the U.S. will also provide military radar systems Ukraine counterbattery for detecting and tracking shots of artillery and missile launches.
Recalling, President Obama vetoed defense bill that authorized lethal assistance to Ukraine. The volume of the assistance to Ukraine for the next year was announced to be $300 mln.
