United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) reports that one million children suffered due to the fighting in Donbas. This was reported on the Facebook page of UNICEF Ukraine.

“At the time that the conflict in eastern Ukraine faces its fourth year, one million children are in need of emergency humanitarian aid – it’s almost twice as much than last year,” the message says.

It is noted that the number of the children who suffered increased on 420 thousand and it’s due to the conflict in Donbas. 19 thousand children in the area are under the threat to suffer from mines and armament, the organization reports. Another 12 thousand children live in the settlements that are being shelled at least once a month. Over 740 schools were ruined or damaged.
