Ukraine initiates videoconference of humanitarian subgroup dedicated to hostages

The Ukrainian side initiates skype conference of the humanitarian subgroups on the release of the hostages on December 14. The representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral contact group, the vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko wrote about this on Facebook page.

The Ukrainian side has sent the relevant initiative to the OSCE and hopes that it will be supported by all parties, and they will be able to free all the hostages by Christmas.

"Together with the SBU, the Interdepartmental Centre for the release of hostages in the format of the Minsk Group, we practiced all week new humanitarian initiative to speed up the process of liberation, so that people on both sides of the line of contact were on holidays at home, with their families. We are ready to work in the mode of videoconference to reach a decision for the release of the hostages, and to make the meeting on December 21 in Minsk productive and efficient", wrote Gerashchenko.
