Three Marines were killed in the ATO zone. It was stated on the page of the Naval Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

50-year-old Sergeant Nikolai Okhrymenko, 23-year-old junior sergeant Sergey Sonko and 30-year-old senior sailor Sergey Trubin.

Marine Sergey Sonko from Kherson decided to defend him homeland around a year ago. He was the commander of the Third Division of the Marine Corps and alongside studied part-time at the Faculty of Law. Mother of Sergey stayed in Kherson, his girlfriend in Mykolaiv didn’t get to see him.

Earlier, Sergey Sonko’s cousin reported about the death of marines in a commentary to "TSN". According to him, Ukrainian soldiers contacted their families, saying that militants have the bodies of marines. However, Ministry of Defense did not officially confirm this information yesterday.
