"Savchenko list" includes names of hundreds of people
MP Nadiya Savchenko has published a list of the Ukrainians, who are in captivity or missing in the occupied territory of Donbas and in the Russian Federation, as well as the names of the persons who are requested by Donetsk and Luhansk militants.
People's Deputy explained that she published the lists for two categories of future exchange: Ukrainian prisoners who are illegally held by militants in Donbas.
"The Ukrainian side requested 129 people. The opposite side confirms 42 people. Ukraine still looks for 494 that are missing. They are proportional to the list of prisoners in Ukraine wanted by representatives of Russian-occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine. Donetsk militants want 524, and 377 are wanted by Luhansk militants. Ukrainian side also confirms only about 256 of them", she wrote on Facebook.
"According to this, the first phase of the exchange is 42 to 256", added Savchenko.
Ukrainian political prisoners who are captived in Russia and in annexed Crimea are the in the second category.
"There are 44 political prisoners at the moment. Ukraine, too, has Russian citizens in prison, serving sentences for crimes committed against the territorial integrity of Ukraine and against the Ukrainian people in the period from 2014 to 2016. There are 102 of them. The exchange on the second category of "all for all" - is 44 to 102", said the MP.
Savchenko added that the list of the militants contains many Russians whose extradition they require from Ukraine.
