RIA news

OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) reported about restricting access to sites of the disengagement of troops and weapons in the Donbas region in Zolote, Petrivske and Stanytsia Luhanska, as the parties were unable to guarantee the safety of the observers. It is reported by the press service of the mission on Facebook.

"Today again OSCE SMM had a restricted access to the areas of the withdrawal of troops in Pervomaiske / Zolote, Stanitsia Luhanska, Petrivske / Bogdanivka, as neither Ukrainian Armed Forces, nor Luhansk and Donetsk militants were not able to guarantee the security of SMM  due to possible mines", reads the report.

The OSCE SMM said that it is ready to observe the process of disarmament, but they need to get full access.

“There has to be secure and unhindered access, the areas need to be cleared from mines”, reads the report.

Recall that earlier Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said that the OSCE mission in the Donbas region should be strengthened so that it can fully carry out their duties.
