The members of Trilateral Contact Group on settlement in Donbas have reached the new agreement on withdrawal of heavy weapons before February 20. This was reported by Martin Sajdik, Special Representative of the OSCE.

"Today contact group has reached the agreement on withdrawal of heavy weapons, banned by Minsk agreement, before February 20," Sajdik informed.

"In humanitarian sphere, the contact group continued to discuss the issue of releasing persons detained because of the conflict. It was decided to reach out to UN Monitoring Mission for Human Rights in Geneva with the request to verify, whether those citizens would like to stay at the territory, where they were detained throughout, after their release. The working group on economic issues has discussed water supply in Luhansk and Donetsk regions today, as well as the subject of important infrastructure objects as Donetsk filtration plant for example. Among political topics, the discussion was concentrated on discussing issues connected with "Steinmeier formula," he said.

As it was reported, the meeting of subgroup on economic issues of the Contact Group on Donbas settlement was held in Minsk, on February 15.
