OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (OSCE SMM) recorded recent strikes on the bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska. This was stated by the First Deputy Chairman of the OSCE SMM in Ukraine Alexander Hug during his visit to Donbas, the press-service of the agency reports.

"The parties are located on the opposite sides of the bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska, which often causes clashes. This morning our patrol saw that wooden ladder that connects the destroyed part of the bridge, got fresh impact sites. We have seen civilians on the both sites that were waiting in line to cross the bridge at a temperature lower than -10°C. You can reach the other side by foot only. The situation is further complicated by the fact that the bridge is in disrepair, and now it's slippery," he said.

Hug has once again reminded that in order to reduce the level of tension and stabilize the situation, more efforts are needed for disengagement in the three agreed areas.
