OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) recorded about 1300 ceasefire violations in Donbas over past day. This was reported during press conference by Alexander Hug, Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, according to “Interfax-Ukraine”.
“SMM documented some increase of ceasefire violations in the area of Avdiivka and Yasynuvata, fighting damaged the infrastructure needed for normal life of the population. Hostilities have currently stopped, we are recording 1300 ceasefire violations in the last 24 hours near Donetsk,” Hug reported.
He added that SMM recorded 6000 explosions on January 31, the banned weapons have been used 6000 times.
According to Hug, OSCE SMM, Joint Coordination Center for Ceasefire Monitoring, Armed Forces of Ukraine and self-proclaimed “DPR” managed to achieve the situation, when electricity in Donetsk filtration plant was restored over last 6 days.
“Filtration plant already pumps water, a day ago Avdiivka residents had light in their homes,” he said.
Hug also added that “in order to prevent the new escalation, the parties who have power on both sides should make efforts.
