Since midnight, the situation in the Donbas conflict zone remains tense, but is under control of the Ukrainian army, according to the Ukrainian Army HQ on Facebook.

“Since midnight, the situation was the toughest in Donetsk sector. The militants attacked our strongholds in Avdiivka industrial zone with grenade launchers and small arms four times. Moreover, Ukrainian soldiers near Zaitseve were attacked twice, near Butovka mine – three times,” the message informs.

In Luhansk sector, in an hour the militants fired over 60 82-mm mines at our supervision point near Krymske. As a result of the attack, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded.

The HQ added that the militants used mortars near Mariupol. At around midnight they fired 122-mm shells to the south of Bohdanovka.

According to the Ukrainian Army information, the militants are planning to enroll young people (those who were born in 2001) on the military register.
