More than 300 Russians are in custody in Ukraine. This was stated on the air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Valeria  Lutkovska, Ukrainian News reported.

The ombudswoman reported that she sent the list of these people to the Russian human rights comissioner Tatyana Moskalkova and invited her to visit them to assess the conditions of their detention. "I sent a list of more than 300 Russian citizens who are now in jails in Ukraine and whom she (Moskalkova, ed.) may be interested in as an ombudsman," Lutkovska said.

In turn, Lutkovska asks permission to visit 12 Ukrainians detained in Russia, among them journalist Roman Sushchenko, director Oleg Sentsov and Crimean activist Olexander Kolchenko. She has not yet received an answer from her Russian counterpart.
