Militants used forbidden weaponry in Anti-Terrorist Operation area (ATO), such as 100 and 122 mm mortars were used to shell near Troitske village in Luhansk region. This was reported by the speaker of ATO headquarters press service Anton Myronovych on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
“Shelling continues since the beginning of the day, in particular, we note that militants use prohibited weapons (including mortars of 100 mm caliber) in Troitske village in Luhansk region. Militants also use 122 mm artillery in the area,” Myronovych said.
According to Myronovych, the "bread ceasefire" was thwarted by illegal armed groups from the very beginning.
“In fact, almost from the first day we see that the "bread ceasefire" is thwarted by armed formations. The number of shelling doubled (if we compare the average statistical figures),” Myronovych noted.
As it was reported earlier military actions in Donbas got more intense again. Russia-sponsored mercenaries use various kinds of weaponry, including 120 mm mortars that are banned by Minsk agreements. Over the last 24 hours, the enemy opened fire 38 times.
