Militants shelled Mariinka checkpoint with border guards on service from small arms, grenade launchers and mortars 6 times yesterday, on February 2. This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Terrorists shelled the checkpoint from small arms. 10 grenades exploded near the roadblock.
Mariinka checkpoint was fired on from mortars and large-caliber weapons. As a result of shelling border modules, where border guards conduct checkpoint, were damaged.
All the attacks were conducted from Oleksandrivka settlement, the territory that is not controlled by Ukraine.
During the shelling there were no people or cars at the checkpoint, so there were no victims. The border guards did not open fire in response.
Earlier it was reported that militants shelled Mariinka on February 2. Houses of civilian residents of Mariinka are on fire in the result of shelling.
