Militants resumed shelling of Avdiivka at night and hit residential houses

Illegal armed groups in Donbas continued shelling of the old part of Avdiivka and hit residential houses. This was reported by Vyacheslav Abroskin, the head of National Police in Donetsk region, on March 18 evening.

"At 5:20 p.m. "DPR" militants continued shooting at the old part of Avdiivka. They hit residential houses once again," he noted.

Abroskin added that police evacuated blind man, born in 1929, from the house damaged by shelling.

"Luckily he survived," he noted.

Projectiles also hit two private houses. Some old-age pensioners were at home during shelling, but nobody was reported injured. Operational-Investigation Group of Avdiivka police department is working at the scene, the information about other damages and injured people is being specified.
