Militants announced they would return two women prisoners to Savchenko. It was said in a statement of the “DPR/LPR” militants’ leaders Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitsky.

In their statement, the militants said that they believe Savchenko is "the representative of sane part of the Ukrainian people" and they are ready to return two women - Angelica Presnyakova and Olga Svorak as a "goodwill gesture".

At the same time, the in their statement they said that Kyiv allegedly cannot perform "Minsk-2" in exchanging deals.

"As a goodwill gesture we unconditionally return two women - Angelica Presnyakova and Olga Svorak to the representative of the people of Ukraine Nadia Savchenko on the eve of New Year and Christmas," the militants said in a statement.

Nadia Savchenko’s sister Vera Savchenko confirmed the return in her comment for the Ukrainian News. "I confirm the transfer," she said.

Note that there is no information about Angelica Presnyakova in the open sources, and it is known about Olga Svorak that she is a journalist of the daily Holos Narodu of Ivano-Frankivsk and Holos-info. We found out about her detainment by the “LPR” militants in June 2016.

Earlier it was reported that the SBU head expressed negative attitude towards Savchenko's meeting with DNR and LNR leaders. Despite this, he said that he could not prevent the deputy from meeting with anyone anywhere.
