Militants’ informer sentenced for four years of imprisonment

Such measure of punishment was set by Donetsk Court of Appeal

The Court of Appeal in Donetsk region sentences 32 years old resident of Pokrovsk district for 4 years of imprisonment, who worked as an informer for Russia-backed militants. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of the region.

The prosecutors note that illegal activity of the convict was proven. He was informing militants about movements of military equipment, weapons and ammunition trucks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

 “Chervonoarmiysky municipal and district court found the man guilty and sentenced him under Part 2 Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (participation in extra-legal militarized or armed formations) for 3 years and 6 month of imprisonment,” the Prosecutor’s Office noted, adding that this decision was appealed against in the court.

“The Court of Appeal of Donetsk region, having considered an appeal, reached the verdict that found a man guilty of criminal offense under Part 1 Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (participation terrorist group or terrorist organization) and sentenced for 4 years of imprisonment,” the message says.

Earlier it was  reported that militants shell ATO positions 50 times for the past day and night. An armed clash occurred in Kruta Balka area.
