Militants continue to shell Avdiivka despite ceasefire agreement

Ceasefire regime should last from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Illegal armed groups continue to shell Avdiivka despite the ceasefire agreement. This was reported by the correspondent of “112 Ukraine” TV channel.

As the correspondent reported, the sides have agreed to maintain ceasefire from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. But despite that, insurgents continue to attack Avdiivka. Although the intensity of fire decreased, they still fire about once an hour, the rockets do not reach the city, they are hitting the surroundings.

According to the correspondent, local residents are going to work, repairing their houses. Humanitarian center continues to provide humanitarian help.

As it is known, shelling in Avdiivka goes on for seven days straight. The situation remains complicated. On January 31, state of emergency was declared in Avdiivka due to escalation after intensification of rebels’ activity and threat of humanitarian catastrophe. Currently, 244 people were evacuated from the city, among them 40 elderly people and 114 children.
