The interaction in defending the rights of political prisoners and their families in occupied Crimea was discussed between the Commissioner of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Human Rights Valeria Lutkovska, MP, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov and lawyer of deputy chairman of the Mejlis Ahtem Chiygoz - Nikolai Polozov, reported Refat Chubarov on Facebook.

"Together with the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Valeria Lutkovska and Russian lawyer Nikolai Polozov (now - the defender of the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis Ahtem Chiygoz) we discussed issues of cooperation in the protection of rights of political prisoners and their families in temporarily occupied by Russia Crimean peninsula", - he wrote.

Details of the meeting were not disclosed.

Earlier, in  Crimea, the court extended the arrest of the deputy head of Mejlis Ahtem Chiygoz until January 2017.
