The leader of the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic” Ihor Plotnitsky declared he stands for holding a “referendum” to integrate to Russia. This was reported by RIA News.
“We do not suppose, we are sure that such referendum will take place. Of course, we will initiate it but in a good time. After all, at the very beginning we considered the question to immediately follow the path of the Crimea, to be a part of Russia, but it turned out a little differently, but this question was always actual," he said.
Plotnitsky said that “LNR” and “DNR” consider trade transport blockade as an actual recognition of the “independence of the republics”.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine wants Russia to invalidate "LPR/DPR" passports, militants to return Ukrainian business. The issues have been raised in subgroups and during Trilateral Contact Group meeting.
