“Providing security in the region with the aid of some international forces is not foreseen by the Minsk deal. Donbas will never accept this, and, according to Minsk agreements, every political step towards solution of the conflict has to be agreed with Donbas (representatives of pro-Russian mercenaries in Minsk Trilateral Contact Group, - 112 International)”, Lavrov said as quoted by UNIAN.
According to him, Russia supports strengthening of the OSCE monitoring mission on the division line, which includes control over the heavy weaponry stocks. “Ukraine says political reforms in Donbas will start only after full and stable security is maintained. That never happens. It’s impossible. No conflict is being solved that way”, Lavrov stressed, adding that Russia continues to support the law about special status for Donbas and the amnesty for pro-Kremlin militants.
